Irish Icons
We produced an Irish Icons event for Workday Ltd in December 2020. This was a companywide event with 1000 employees invited.
Irish Icons is a high value experiential online event developed by Brian Gormally CEO (director) of Sherpa Events. It was forged from the necessity to produce high end broadcast quality programming for the corporate market, as over time people grew weary of quizzes, bingo and scavenger hunts.
This was not a space that Sherpa was comfortable in – it seemed like “forced fun” and inevitably had a short shelf life.
“I felt there was a space for deeper meaningful experiences time that we could spend on- line with colleagues. The companies we work with really value their employees and were delighted to have this offering to show their appreciation. They were proud to offer such an exclusive experience to their staff. Initially asking them to spend more time in front of a screen and away from their families seemed counter intuitive, with employees already spending countless hours working online. But the concept really captured people’s imaginations and aspirations” - Brian Gormally
Sherpa produces high end quality events in the old world and we were confident that there was a place for this type of premium event that creates real engagement, cultivates community, lifts morale and demonstrates employee appreciation.
How it works
Sherpa sources the talent, advances the show taking care of all the technical elements for a broadcast quality production. We implement all the health and safety, abiding by strict COVID-19 procedures. We create, produce and deliver your event with you for you.
One just needs to decide on the Icon. The Irish Icons production “Paul O Connell in conversations with Workday” was very well received with glowing feedback reported by the audience. They were so impressed by the ability to pose questions from the safety of their own home to the icon. A representative from the company, in this case Brian Montgomery Director of Finance, was MC for the day and was an absolute natural. Having someone from the company as the presenter gives it a real exclusive and intimate feel.
